四篇文章分為四個部分，每篇文章一個部分：

There are four sections in four?articles and?each article for one section:

Number 1, why it is a marvelous weapon and how I made it. (20000 vocabulary and a full mark, band 9 in IELTS reading.)

Number 2, what is the core logic of vocabulary?

Number 3, how to work on vocab capacity.(i.e. active vocab)

Number 4, why so many people can not improve their vocab?

第一部分：神器百詞斬

Section 1:?Baicizhan, the super weapon先上圖：

聽到過很多次，無數(shù)次，別人說的，群里人提到的，等等之類的。每次我說我用百詞斬，總會有一堆人跳出來說這說那，什么沒有用如何如何。

I have heard so many times, innumerable times, some people said, some people in some wechat groups mentioned, and suchlike. Every single time that I said I used Baicizhan, there would be a lot of people jumping out telling me this or that, like ‘it is useless’?that sort of thing.??

最開始，還愿意解釋一下，慢慢的覺得很累，很多人提升不了是必然的，因為他們看不到事情背后的邏輯。

At the first beginning, I would like to explain it a little bit, but gradually, I started to feel totally tired of it. I was sort of wondering that it is inevitable that many people can not improve themselves, because they can not see the underlying logic behind things.

當然，很抱歉很直白地說，更恐怖的是，他們連去真誠了解的意愿都沒有，只會沉醉于類似于：我用了很久了，就是沒用。這種自我陶醉和感動中，更有甚者，直言自己學不好僅僅因為沒有天賦。

Certainly, feeling so sorry, frankly and straightforwardly speaking, what is more important and terrifying is that they do not even have the willingness to listen with true heart, barely indulging in things such as ‘I have been using it for so long and it is just useless.’this kind of self indulgence and self satisfaction, even worse, some of them would simply claim that they can not make it solely because of having no talent for it instead of anything else affecting them. ????

慢慢地，像我一樣的所謂快速提升者，失去了跟很多學習者交流和溝通的欲望，尤其是，當我們看到他們閉塞的大腦回路，以及那氣勢沖天嚇人的主觀意識。

Slowly and gradually, many fast learners like me, start to lose the desire to communicate and interact with many learners, in particular, when we see their being close-minded and the strong plus frightening stubbornness/subjective consciousness.

回歸正題~

Back to the topic of vocab.

有很長一段時間，我早上的第一件事就是百詞斬，刷單詞，復習1000個左右，大概斷斷續(xù)續(xù)1000多天，最近開始少做了，用念文章替換了，為了更有效提升語言能力。

It has been a very long time that the first thing I do in the morning is on Baicizhan, brush up on the words I have already learned, about 1000 ones each day, intermittently, it has been more than 1000 days. Nowadays, I started to replace it with reading articles in order to improve my language ability more effectively.

(最開始的進步速度--大概也就是三個月閱讀詞匯提升量超過6000+的樣子，百詞斬是不夠準確的--以前聽到杠精的回應。這重要嗎？這是我傳達的重點嗎？以及后續(xù)的維持和精進。)

但是，誠然，目前來看，百詞斬是我用過的單詞軟件里最高效，且最強大的。中間也試過一些其他軟件，但是都不如這個高效。

However, honestly, by now, Baicizhan is the most effective and powerful one in all the apps I have used. During this period of time, I have tried many other apps only to find that they were not as effective as this one.

我們直入正題，為什么最有效？兩個原因：1 每日數(shù)量可以很高；2 圖片培養(yǎng)英語思維。注意，我說的不單單是過單詞，還有詞匯能力，幾乎無可替代。（雖然有些軟件開始做了，比如萬詞王什么的。）

Let’s get straight to the point, why it is the most effective one? Two reasons, one is about the daily amount that you can go over and another is that you can utilize on the pictures to cultivate English thinking, which is almost irreplaceable. (Though some apps are already doing something, like Wanciwang or sth.)

第一，每日數(shù)量上限很高。

For one, the daily?limit is very high.?

首先，你可以設置到1000個一天，而且如果你幾個單詞本來回切換，理論上來說，一天可以無限。（我最多的時候一天5000個）

First of all, you can set up to 1000 words every day and if you switch among several vocab books, technically, you can go over countless words each day. （For me, the most I did for each day was 5000 words.）

至于為什么一天可以這么多？你覺得自己做不到？那都是思維以及具體做法的問題。后面的文章中，單詞能力那塊我會說一下背后的邏輯。

As for why we can go over as many words as that? Or you think that you can not do it? It is all about thinking mode and how you work on it. We will have a quick look at it later in the ability section.

第二，圖片培養(yǎng)英語思維。

For another, form English thinking by making the most of the pictures.?

這個事情，長遠來看，是無敵的，對于英語提升。尤其是如果你在準備一些涉及真正語言能力的考試，寫作的口語的，如雅思托福等。This?thing,?from?the?long?term,?is?super?meaningful?and?mighty,?for?improving?English,?especially?on?condition?that?you?are?preparing?for?some?tests?requiring?truly?language?ability,?writing?or?speaking,?such?as?IELTS,?TOFEL?and?so?on.

實際上，這個東西展開說還蠻長的，實在不愿意贅述了。簡而言之，就是，所謂的英語思維是什么，就是腦子中不再有翻譯的過程，所有的語言直接對應實際內(nèi)容。

In fact and in practice, it will be quite wordy if we elaborate it, being literally super reluctant to do this now, I would just put it in a very simple way. What I mean here is, the so-called English thinking is realistically having no process of translation in mind and all the words correspond directly to the real content.

如果你理解我說的，那么你離快速進步就非常非常接近了。

You will be extremely close to rapid improvement as long as you do take in what I said just now.

最后，舉一隅不以三隅反，則不復也，身心都是。

Finally，you will get stagnant there if you do not step further physically and mentally.
