Some economists have projected that both the U.S. and parts of Europe could slip into a recession for a portion of 2023. A global recession, defined as a contraction in annual global per capita income, is more rare because China and emerging markets often grow faster than more developed economies. Essentially the world economy is considered to be in recession if economic growth falls behind population growth.

i accept that there is development under current government but at the same time many wrong decisions taken by the gov cannot be ignored and the current gov doesn't care for corruption as well as lives of soldiers (when we got to know about the mistakes and ignorance of the authorities while transporting army men leading to pulwama attack) Overall we should not be one sided be it mindlessly worshipping a politician or hating them but rather think about who will benefit from each scheme and is it the necessity of the moment for the nation or just spending money mindless for the sake of benefitting from corruption

If recession hit Europe and USA, there is a strong possibility our IT sector will suffer due to low demand of software. Service sector is still largest of India's export, that's why our overall export will also shrink ??

I work in IT, it could be appraisal might be on hold, but business needs to run, servers will be kept running and those will require manpower, I see less Impact, but new projects might be on hold.

They outsource their software, they are already getting more for what they pay. In fact this might even positively effect us since more of the work will get outsourced and more layoff would be on the way since foreign labour is not cheap.

I don't think so, or the contrary, I think it could rise in India because hiring engineers in India is still cheaper than hiring from EU and US. That means when forming teams for any new project, more engineers will be hired from India and mostly architects from the US and EU will be hired as they have full knowledge on the architecture of what software they want to build or what services they want to use like AWS,Cloud,Databricks,etc.

As someone working in the IT sector, it won't have immediate impact us as most of the MNCs have pre-bookings for next 12-18 months.
Many companies are diversifying their base outside of US and Europe. Markets like Canada, Australia,New Zealand, Africa , South East Asia ,etc.
Don't worry Tech is big and is going to be even bigger.

Surely, but it'll be temporary only. If American and European IT giants fall, then other companies will replace them. If there is a gap, it will be filled. If there is a demand, there will be supply. Ofc, it all still depends on how quick on our feats we are. This could be a chance to overthrow their dominance itself. Remember, most of the IT giants dont 'manufacture' stuff, that's why other alternatives will come up easy.

i was listening this word( world leader) from 2005 and now its 2023. almost 18 years nothing is changed. although to getting goods job and food is harder to get as times progresses.

@nikhiltiwari4435 Then you have no talent in understanding politics. India has been emerging as a global leader since PM Modi came in power. Now idk what you understand by this term but it doesn't mean our country will not have any problems all of a sudden. Even USA faces so many issues, people live hard lives there as well. Global leader is just about being able to influence Geopolitics very strongly. India being able to stand tall during Ukrainian war alone tells you how much stronger our position is geopolitically right now.

@nikhiltiwari4435 Also we haven't become a global leader YET. We are just emerging as a potential global leader. By the time we become a gpobal leader, a lot of our issues will be resolved as well imo.
