獨立日總統(tǒng)演講

Good morning.

各位，早安！

In less than an hour,aircraft from here will join others from around the world.

一小時之內(nèi)，世界各地的戰(zhàn)機將會聯(lián)合起來。

And you will be launching the largest aerial battle in this history of mankind.

我們將聯(lián)合發(fā)動一場歷史上規(guī)模最大的空戰(zhàn)！

Mankind that word should have new meaning for all of us today.

人類這個詞，從今天起，對我們而言有了新的含義。

We can't be consumed by our petty differences any more.(這里any和more之間應(yīng)該是分開的...吧？)

我們絕不能再為小事而自相殘殺！

We will be united in our common interests.

我們將為共同利益團結(jié)一致！

Perhaps its fate that today is the 4th of July,and you will once again be fighting for our freedom,not from tyranny,oppression,or persecution,but from annihilation.

也許天意如此，今天正是獨立紀(jì)念日。而你們將再次為自由而戰(zhàn)！不是為了反抗暴政或者迫害，而是避免被消滅！

We're fighting for our right to live,to exist.

我們正在為了活命的權(quán)利而戰(zhàn)！為了生存！

And should we win the day,the 4th of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day when the world declared in one voice:" We will not go quietly into the night!We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive!"

如果我們能夠獲勝，7月4日，將不再只是美國的節(jié)日，而是全世界人民一同宣誓之日：“我們不會束手就擒！我們不會任人宰割！我們要繼續(xù)生存！我們要渡過難關(guān)！”

Today, we celebrate our Independence Day!

今天，我們共同慶祝我們的獨立日！
