This standard is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2020 Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents.

This document replaces GB/T 23336-2009 General technical requirements for semitrailer. In addition to changes in structure and editorial changes, the following technical deviations have been made with respect to GB/T 23336-2009:

a) The “Scope” is modified (see Clause 1 hereof; Clause 1 of Edition 2009);

b) The term and definition of brake release time is added (see 3.1);

c) The requirements for external dimension, axle load and mass limit of semi-trailer are added (see 4.1.2);

d) The requirements for semi-trailers engaged in road transportation are added (see 4.1.3);

e) The requirements for refrigerated van semi-trailer are added (see 4.1.4);

f) The requirements for semi-trailer equipped with hydraulic tail-plate are added (see 4.1.5);

g) The requirements for fixing point of semi-trailer are added (see 4.1.6);

h) The requirements for the height of bearing surface of container semi-trailer before loading are changed (see 4.1.8 hereof; 4.1.3 of Edition 2009);

i) The requirements for mechanical coupling interchangeability between semi-trailer and tractor are changed (see 4.1.9 hereof; 4.1.4 of Edition 2009);

j) The requirements for safe driving speed of semi-trailer are changed (see 4.1.10 hereof; 4.1.5 of Edition 2009);

k) The requirements for top cover of semi-trailer are changed (see 4.1.11 hereof; 4.1.6 of Edition 2009);

l) The requirements for main size parameter of semi-trailer are changed (see 4.1.12 hereof; 4.1.7 of Edition 2009);

m) The requirements for handle position of semi-trailer linkage support device are added (see 4.1.14);

n) The requirements for anti-rollover system, tire temperature monitoring device and other related intelligent monitoring and alarm devices should be installed are added (see 4.1.15);

o) The requirements for service braking distance and braking stability of semi-trailer formed into articulated combination vehicles are changed (see 4.1.16 hereof; 4.5.1 of Edition 2009);

p) The requirements for braking response time and marking of semi-trailer are added (see 4.1.18);

q) The requirements for brake actuation time of semi-trailer are deleted (see 4.5.3 of Edition 2009);

r) The requirements for parking brake performance of semi-trailer are changed (see 4.1.20 and 4.1.21 hereof; 4.5.5 of Edition 2009);

s) The requirements for braking force balance performance of semi-trailer are changed (see 4.1.22 hereof; 4.5.6 of Edition 2009);

t) The requirements for brake lag time and tests after the semi-trailer formed into combination vehicles are deleted (see 4.5.7 and 5.3.8 of Edition 2009);

u) The requirements for sealing performance of braking system are changed (see 4.1.23 hereof; 4.5.8 of Edition 2009);

v) The requirements for frame diagonal deviation are changed (see 4.2.4 hereof; 4.2.4 of Edition 2009);

w) The requirements for the main assembly of semi-trailer are changed (see 4.3 hereof; 4.3 and 4.4 of Edition 2009);

x) The requirements for electrical and gas connectors of semi-trailers are added (see 4.3.4 and 4.3.5);

y) The requirements for semi-trailer carriage with side curtain structure are added (see 4.3.6);

z) The requirements for carriage of van semi-trailers are added (see 4.3.7);
aa) The requirements for floor strength for forklift loading and unloading operations on semi-trailer floors are added (see 4.3.8);

bb) The requirements for no-load conditions for size measurement of semi-trailers are added (see 5.1.1);

cc) The test methods for brake response time of semi-trailers are added (see 5.2.3);

dd) The test methods for braking actuation time of semi-trailer are deleted (see 5.3.4 of Edition 2009);

ee) The test methods for brake release time of semi-trailer are changed (see 5.2.4 hereof; 5.3.5 of Edition 2009);

ff) The test methods for braking force balance performance of semi-trailer formed into combination vehicles are changed (see 5.2.6 hereof; 5.3.7 of Edition 2009);

gg) The test methods for reliability of semi-trailer are changed (see 5.4 hereof; 5.4 of Edition 2009);

hh) The inspection of production consistency are deleted (see Clause 6 of Edition 2009);

ii) Inspection rules are added (see Clause 6);

jj) Marking and storage are added (see Clause 7);

kk) The technical requirements for key parts of curtain side semi-trailer are added (see Annex A);

1 ?Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and storage of semi-trailer.

This document is applicable to semi-trailers running on the road and other semi-trailers may refer to this document.
