This is based off of Qing Gong. Yes, there was an ancient Chinese technique that allowed warriors to "fly." It''s called "Qing Gong," and it''s a martial art that''s mostly gone out of existence. It is still taught in parts of Wudang and in the Shoalin. Qing Gong is similar to parkour as it allows you to jump up walls, run on rooftops, and jump off of tall buildings without hurting yourself. Look it up. In Wuxia, when you see or read about characters flying, they are really doing "Qing Gong"
